On
this seaside estate in Bridgehampton
the owners had such a deep love of perennials and
cutting flowers that they dedicated a large corner
of thei rolling lawn to a perennial garden. So large
in scale that the lawn pathways through it divide
the garden into 3 islands.
Rising a single
palette of materials which bloom in sequense throughout
the summer all 3 beds creates a union of the garden
as one place, fluring together the scale of the material
and the size of the flooring masses of color is so
exhilarating that when you enter the lawn pathways
you feel that you have actually become part of the
garden.
You become "lost" in the flowers
