At
this seaside estate in Bridgehampton a conifer garden
skirts the pool area. By keeping the palette of perennials
simple the large flowering masses of color flow through
the conifer specimens allowing them to call attention
to themseves without becoming
too busy.
In this application it was important to keep the scale
of the material low and slow growing. In that way the
people at the pool can see through the gardens across
the lawn to the distance, making the whole property
feel larger. |
