Even
in a seasonal community which is populated primarily
in the summer it is important to consider how a property
looks in the winter.
At a property in Bridgehampton we used a very basic
pallette of materials along the border. Conifer spruce
and olive mass flow through
each other while rhododendron pillow around their base.
In this application only 2 or 3 species or perennial
flowers are used and they are applied in large masses
as a landscape element without the varied mixtures of
a traditional garden setting.
The larger ribbons of material draw you into and through
the garden path. |
